Garry Station Association Events
Spring Clean-Up / Planting Day Saturday, May 25th, 10am
Meet at the Train Station Park The Garry Station Spring Clean-Up / Planting Day is a one-day event, dedicated to picking up garbage, cleaning public areas, tidying up personal areas and planting flowers. It’s also a great way to get to meet others who value public spaces!
The Garry Station Spring Clean-Up also benefits the rest of the City of Lethbridge, because when garbage gets proactively picked up on the westside, it prevents garbage from blowing across the rest of the City of Lethbridge. Our sponsors, Melcor, Energy Smart, Cedar Ridge Homes and B93/Wild 95.5 want to thank the hard-working volunteers with a post-event party wrap-up to toast to a job well-done!
Get involved with this event by:
1. Donating prizes or supplies such as pizza, beverages, garbage bags, gloves, etc. Businesses can also donate plants, soil, mulch or other gardening material. Your gift in kind donation will be recognized at the event.
2. Volunteering: Garry Station welcomes partnerships with other community groups or businesses who are interested in helping out that day.
It’s a great team-building opportunity and your organization would get recognition at the event. Meet us Saturday, May 25th at 10am at the Train Station Park.
Kids Fest! Saturday, July 13th 11am - 2pm

“Operation: Christmas Stocking” & “Letters of Hope”
The community of Garry Station is home to the senior’s assisted living facility, Buffalo Grace Manor. Buffalo Grace has over 100 seniors that have a physical or cognitive barrier, and many have seen their circle of friends and family become smaller and smaller. This makes the holiday season particularly hard for many who live there.
Operation: Christmas Stocking supports those who live in Buffalo Grace Manor by creating Christmas stockings that are given out to the residents on Christmas morning. Anyone can participate!
Garry Station is also hoping to partner with some school or playschool groups who can help with a letter writing campaign called “Letters of Hope”. Each letter is tucked inside the stocking for the residents.
You can get involved in a few different ways:
1. Sponsor a Stocking (s): You can choose to sponsor as many individual stockings as you like, and we’ll make sure they get to the residents of Buffalo Grace Manor. Pre-filled stockings are $25 each.
2. Provide a discount to those shopping for stocking items: This will drive people to your business to shop and let everyone know that your business supports this important community project.
3. Donate items for the stocking: We can get very creative in what we put in the stocking and the donation doesn’t even need to fit in a stocking! It can be delivered WITH the stockings! If you have something you think could be included - let’s talk!
Thanks to our caring sponsors: Energy Smart, Cedar Ridge Homes & B93 / Wild 95.5!
